Once upon a time there was a baby girl, on the edge of infancy and the threshold of little girlhood, so precious and expressive with an imagination just waiting to explode. With a toddler’s limited vocabulary her stories were animated through dance, song and uninhibited theatrics. You may think that this transformation from one to turning two would be of no special event, but for this little girl, it was an indelible occasion that will have lasting memories of pride and joy. At two years old Lily’s best friend and constant companion is Mini Mouse. And why not, Minnie is squeezable, always smiling, can understand the two and three word dialect of a toddler and is a willing accomplice to any given adventure. Today, Minnie was the invited guest to an impromptu backyard tea party hosted my Miss Lily. The specialty tea was carefully brewed at the kitchen tap and the hors d’oeuvres of choice were soggy Cheerios from the mornings snack cup. what a wonderful moment in time that I had the privilege to capture. It fills me with joy that my photography provides the tool to recall these wonderful fleeting moments and preserve the memories forever for Miss Lily and her family.
